Little Maji’s mother is a fan of Scandinavian design and decor, so she decided to decorate the children’s room in this way, adding vintage elements for a more cute look. The room was arranged in such a way that it could be changed frequently and quickly, developing a passion for decorating.
The room is in the attic and is small, so it was a good idea to make it all white and cream, as it is not only Scandinavian, but it also visually enlarges the space. The floors are also rather light and consist of whitewashed laminate. Pastel colors have been added to create a delicate combination, mainly mint but also dusty pinks and blues as this is a girls room.
The attic ceiling did not become a problem, the floor was divided into two parts according to the ceiling and one of them became a sleeping zone, and the second – a play area.
The furniture is simple and traditional: a white cot, a chest, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. All furniture can be changed depending on the age and needs of the child. You can see mint raindrops over the crib, but these are not wallpapers, they are removable stickers that can be swapped out for others.
The toys are also Scandi-inspired, simple and mostly white, and you can see the iconic Miffy lamp that doubles as a toy. There are numerous handmade decorations such as garlands, cushions or cloth sacks for toys made by the little girl’s mother.
