This stunning kitchen was created by Black Lacquer Design. It’s so airy, full of light, welcoming and cool that I think I’d spend a lot of time there!
The entire space is furnished in a mid-century modern style with some industrial touches. I love double doors and windows everywhere that fill it with light. It is very important to create an ambience. The color scheme is light-hearted: mint, blue, white, brass, and light wood.
Since the kitchen is very spacious, there are several zones: a cooking zone, a dining zone and an office. The light and airy feel in the kitchen is accentuated by the mint green color of the cabinets combined with the beautiful encaustic tiled floor and brass accents. I love the transition between the floors: tile and warm wood, and there is a jute rug on top of the tiles that connects the two.
The L-shaped kitchen island doubles as a dining table. A number of industrial stools provide comfortable seating. A comfortable corner home office nook also has plenty of cabinets and a working table top. This is not a real home office, but a convenient corner for writing and filling out documents.
