A long and narrow room is always a challenge for a designer. The task becomes even more complicated if such a room is a living room. However, nothing is impossible for a talented designer like Magnus Olsson! Let’s take a look at this long and narrow living room makeover using IKEA furniture.
The room has been decorated with a minimalist approach typical of Swedish interiors. All of the walls were painted white and only one wall was painted brown – the wall that marks the dining area. Such a combination was struck to avoid that narrow view while still keeping the space spacious. The sofa is snow-white Stockholm, it gives the room softness and volume. Black and white combinations add dynamism to the space and connect with parts of the room.
Most of the furniture is white, because this color visually expands the space and is a great backdrop for various bright and colorful accents. You can see wooden furniture – a buffet, shelves that give the room the texture of untreated wood. They are complemented with a wicker chair and a lampshade.
