Nowadays, more and more designers are trying to create furniture or even various devices inspired by nature, allowing us to appreciate the genius of natural forms. Designer Balin Lee shows how an idea of constructing an ordinary tree can be adapted to futuristic interior design. He presented the high-tech kitchen tree at the latest Electrolux Design Lab competition. Thanks to the original shape, this model can be very functional and at the same time quite compact. The center section is a cooling unit connected by easily adjustable five-socket hollow branches. Various pods are available. This could be as simple a temperature controlled container as a small sensory sink. This unique device also offers many other interesting and practical options, and probably in the future many of us will have such a kitchen tree in our homes. [via Home Tone]
