The Japanese always find the simplest and most ingenious way to design everything. Japanese designer Hioomi Tahara created a towel rail using a rope and sticks mounted on the wall. The sticks can be positioned in any configuration and to your liking with just a small clip at a time. The tension is achieved by the weight at the other end. You can adjust the length by changing the position of the sticks. The weights also have different shapes, for example a star that also serves as a hook – pure minimalism, nothing superfluous. The right use of materials and structures leaves a light impression.
