Benefits of Concrete Countertops
Concrete countertops can fit into almost any kitchen, from overtly minimalist and industrial kitchens to farmhouse kitchens and modern kitchens, as they can be shaped and shaped to fit the exact dimensions of your kitchen and finished exactly how you want them. Disadvantages of concrete countertops
Concrete is a high-quality material when it comes to kitchen countertops. Manufacturing these countertops requires the skill and experience of trained technicians, so you probably won’t be able to install them yourself.
Concrete slabs are also expensive. Again, the idea that concrete is used for walkways and patios and therefore must be cost-effective is wrong. Expect to pay $150/square foot or more for full-service concrete countertop fabrication and installation.
If you dislike regular maintenance, concrete may not be right for you. Concrete requires at least annual resealing. Concrete can also easily develop stains that are difficult to remove.
Because concrete is so heavy, cabinets and often flooring must be reinforced to withstand the increased weight.
