If you have frequent guests, a guest room is a must, but if it’s a single room, you can only accommodate one guest. If you have enough space, prefer a bedroom with two single beds or even a shared guest room for several people. How can you design a shared guest room that is stylish and comfortable for everyone? First find out how much space you have – is it enough for two or three beds? Guest rooms are usually not very large, often in the attic, and you may not have enough space for everything you want to place. If there is not enough space, a bunk bed or beds will be a good solution to the problem. Here are some ideas for both options.
single beds
If you have enough space, just put two or three beds in your spare room. The beds can be double or single and their appearance – just like the rest of the home decor – is just up to your preferences. The guest rooms usually continue the home decor. So if you have a contemporary style, go further into the guest room and so on, and you can add some accessories or other decorations and artworks to make it more special. Decorate your guest room with different textiles, place some ottomans and cool curtains to make the space cozier.
bunk bed
Bunk beds are a solution for those of you who don’t have much space – not only are they great for children’s rooms, but they can also be used for adults. If space is very limited, opt for a bunk bed. If there is enough space, place several. A few things to keep in mind: It’s usually a bit dark around bunk beds, so you’ll need plenty of natural light, or at least multiple layers of light. It’s a good idea to install some lights directly above each bed. You can also hang some curtains to make each bed private. Secondly, think about how your guests will rise and create a careful and comfortable ladder. There should also be some storage space for guests’ belongings, so storage stools, window sills and the like could be a functional and smart idea.
